Police are hunting a man who preys on Asian women in Flushing, Queens, robbing and sometimes raping them as they return home.
He has attacked seven women, striking first on Feb. 5 when he followed a 24-year-old woman as she stepped from a taxi and into her building on 38th Ave., near 147th St. He then raped her in an elevator and stole $200, police said.
On April 21 and May 5, he assaulted two women in their buildings by grabbing their throats, but he fled when they screamed. In the ensuing weeks he robbed three women he put in choke holds. He last attacked on June 14, when he raped and mugged a 37-year-old woman in a stairwell of her building on 35th Ave.
Police had only a sketchy description of the suspect, describing him as Hispanic, about 5-feet-9 to 6-feet and weighing 170-190 pounds.
